Sure the survey respondents data is coming from Facebook, but the survey itself doesn't have to live there too.

Introducing embeddable surveys - a way to integrate our surveys in any website or blog and style it accordingly.

This feature will launch on 31st of January.

Socially Apps just launched!

It is very exciting to be finally launching Socially Apps!

After a couple of delays, we are now out there in the Wild Wild Web.

Socially Apps flagship product Surveys is what we call "next-gen" surveys.

Surveys that know the demographics of whoever is filling them out, pulling the data out of each respondent Facebook Profile.

Then all that demographic data could be analyzed to better understand one's customers, and thus better serve them.

NB: We don't actually store the data (which is against the Facebook TOS) but rather get it when creating the report as needed.

Let's look at a possible use case:

Say your site is selling women's shoes online. Using our tools to do a quick customer satisfaction survey and everything looks alright. However after analyzing the results, it seems there is way too many men buying from you.

Digging deeper you realize that way more men than women chose your free-shipping

both ways exchange policy as the main reason they buy from you. Turns out a lot of men buy your shoes as presents,

which are then most often than not exchanged.

To better serve their needs you decide to offer gift cards and gift wrap. The former brings exchanges thus costs down and the latter drives customer satisfaction up.

This is just one way to analyze survey results though - one could filter and compare responses by gender, age, first language, location and more. Use this knowledge to bring your business to the next level

So why don't you visit Socially Apps and give our service a try - we have free accounts and we offer 30-day free trial on all paid ones.

Our story or how Socially Apps came to be?

Startup ideas are dime a dozen, and rightfully so.

Here is how our Socially Apps focus and ideas evolved through time to better meet our customers' needs:

When we started we were going to build a Facebook applications generator - so that people who didn't know any programming could build all kinds of cool applications on the Facebook Platform. We worked on that for about a month and decided it was turning out too complex to build something more than a simple gifting application. Our target group were people who didn't know how to write these app themselves. Something just didn't click.

Hm, why don't we build a bunch of applications and allow people to customize them as they saw fit. But ones who were taking time to build nice apps were businesses using Facebook for marketing.

To better serve them we focused on building Facebook Page enhancing applications - so that one could import a twitter feed, showcase his business YouTube videos, create simple polls and so on, all on the business Facebook Page.

Once we started working on the Polls app, we realized that one could use Facebook Profile data to enhance surveys. Imagine all the ways businesses could use this tool to better understand and serve their customers.

So we decided to drop all other apps and focus on the "next-gen" surveys.

This came with the added benefit of working on something totally new and exciting and not

things that had been done fine enough before (like page enhancing apps).

Now we know we have found just the right idea, but that doesn't mean we'll stop improving our services to better fit you.
